The Aeneid is a book poem about Aeneus who is shipwrecked on his last voyage from Troy. And then goes to battle in a war. The work is still being read at Universities like Oxford and McGill. Students are still writing papers on the work. I believe that it is one of the classic works by a Roman Poet.

I believe that Horace the Roman Poet was around at the time of and influenced by Virgil. His 3 books of Roman Odes are probably considered his finest works. He was one of the greatest Poets of his time.

I have heard the Roman Poet Ovid mentioned while I was a student at McGill University. I believe that the Metamorphoses is probably his finest work. And that he is up there in the ranks with all the great Roman Poets. I have read part of the book preview recently. I feel that it is similar to something like on the western shore. I also believe that the work is a book poem in several volumes. And that as well as he can be compared to all of the great Roman Poets, he can be compared to the Ancient Greek and Latin Poets.
