If you're a fan of the original 1980s Valley Girl, this film is not for you. It isn't nearly as raw or weird (in the best way), or fun. Seriously, walk away now. However, if you're looking for a pop filled musical with high production value, and top charts 80s tune mash ups, you'll probably enjoy this film. As someone that loves the 1983 version I found this hard to watch, BUT someone new to the story may like this version. Directed well with a good cast.
