I super highly recommend this short and easy-to-read book. M.J. Hancock arranges quotes from godly prayer warriors of the past into very practical points that not only stir my heart but also give clear guidance about how to grow in the area of prayer. This little booklet would make a terrific gift that could be spread to many. It works wonderfully as a devotions companion. Here's one tremendous quote that shows just how important this resource can be: "[Before you pray], it is advisable to use the Bible especially and afterwards some spirit-stirring book, be it memoir or spiritual treatise, to stir up the black hot coals and compel them to break into a Heaven-ascending flame." Amen! This book does just that, and if there's one great need among God's people today, it's to really learn to pray and do it!
