It's a great movie. Reading 1 star reviews and most of them completely missed the point or just didn't finish the movie if they're acting like that important character growth just wasn't there. These characters are human too and like all of us, have flaws. I genuinely don't get what most of these negative reviews are talking about. This movie in no way normalizes abuse, manipulation, or toxic relationships. The main characters are very humanized and are living a very real situation. And throughout the movie we see both sides of what they're going through and the toll that their choices take on them and the people they care about. And in the end, we're presented with a beautiful message, along with the characters learning from their past mistakes and how their choices haven't always been the right ones. We get to see their reasoning for why they did what they did, not trying to justify some of their decisions at all, but we get the full picture and know these choices don't make them bad people. Without talking spoilers, one of the main characters did something awful when she was like 14 or 15 and people here reviewing are upset over it even though she literally learns from that past wrongdoing and apologizes for it while regretting it? It was years ago, she was a child who's had to plenty of time for change. It's just ridiculous. These characters are fictional and are not created to be perfect nor made to be praised for the decisions they make, so I don't understand these negative reviewers' way of thinking. Go see the movie, it's great. Give it your support
