If I could give half a star, I would. Calling Brahmastra a movie would be an insult to the art of movie making. Not only was the entire plot pointless and downright lazy, but also the screenplay and dialogues were worse than a 7-year-old's ramblings. Hussain Dalal, who apparently is friends with the Director of the movie, is the worst offender of nepotism in the industry. Ayan Mukerji's lazy and mindless attitude is evident with a direction so bad, it would put Tommy Wiesou to shame. One would think that someone with his experience would probably read and write a script unlike a dimwitted toddler, but here we are left with dialogues like "Tu haathi nahi hai, Genda hai". The worst part is he can make the King of Bollywood blurt such nonsense thanks to the virtually unlimited budget allocated to this movie. The editing was so bad that there was not one single action scene that did not entail like 75 jarring quick cuts. Ayan and team are so bad at delivering this movie that they made India's biggest Superstars like Amitabh Bacchhan, Ranbeer Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna look like a joke - turning every dialogue they uttered in the movie into a meme. Anybody who likes this movie surely does not respect themselves or the Indian audience at large. Bad Dialogue, Bad Story, Bad Editing, Bad Acting, Barely Passable VFX. Hussain and Ayan should retire.
