This movie is far too much hollywood & not enough biblical accuracy. For a start Jesus was not hung on a cross but infact it was an upright stake or pole.(you can check this fact by referring to any encyclopedia including the catholic version for proof. The romans would never have gone to the trouble of making a cross for any criminals.) The idea of a cross came much later in history & was introduced into mainstreamaccurate story of the religion by the pagan religions of a later era. After his betrayal Judas went off & hung himself during which his attempt failed miserably. It's all in the bible in the latter half called the " Christian Greek Scriptures", which highlight the complete story of the life & times of the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived, Jesus Christ.
