The previous games set a high bar and this unfortunately just didn't rise to that level. It feels like like a mobile game, it's rather short at about 5 to 6 hours, the weapon selection is limited to like 6 (3 melee, 3 ranged), I've noticed that the music fades out randomly like there's supposed to be dialogue but there often isnt any. When playing single player the ai teammates don't get any benefit from your dark matter upgrades. It's also pretty easy to get like stun locked and destroyed. It also lacks the South Park charm. The last entries felt like episodes of South Park while this didn't. Really it's just a so so game, there's fun to be had for fans of the series but if just feels so.... unpolished.
