If you want to make a sleek, high end film & go on an effects fest, by all means, give 'er. But don't slap a respected name & franchise to it. You did it because you knew it might not sell otherwise. Which may be true... But it is in no way true to, nor "properly" continuing to flesh out Tolkiens' universe. Kindly make your own masterpiece.
