This book will make you feel grief and pain and love and hope all at once. Amazing book for young adults, but do note that it contains some mature themes and ideas that could upset young readers. I first read it in my early teens and it had a very positive impact on me. The characters are super relatable and this novel truly captures the essence of teenhood. I'll Give You The Sun is THE coming of age novel. Nelson's writing style isn't for everyone, but personally it fitted perfectly with the way I process thoughts and feelings. Definitely worth a read, and permanently my favourite book of all time. This is my first ever google book review and probably my last, as I just had to share how life-changing this book was for me. It helped me work through my own grief and continues to remind me to allow myself to feel my feelings.
