(SPOILERS) The Last of Us part 2 was the best game I have ever played. I understand why people are upset at the ending, but there is a deeper meaning then what is on the surface. Both Abby and Ellie did not find closure when ending lives to avenge the death of their loved ones. Abby didn't find closure when killing Joel because she still had nightmares of her dad being dead after the murder of Joel. Only when she helped the two scars that she came to terms gained some closure to her fathers death. For Ellie, she had PTSD episodes and then set out to find closure for Joel's death. But as Ellie was about to kill Abby, she had a flash back of Joel but instead of him being all bloody on the floor, it was him at peace playing his guitar which shows that Ellie had finally reached a point whereby she can start to move on. At the end when she left Joel's guitar next to the window marks the point where by she can start to move forward with her life. In my opinion this game was the perfect squeal to the first one because it has a much deeper meaning then just ending someones life for vengeance, its more about doing whatever allows you to move on from a traumatic experience and coming to peace with yourself. Most people who give this a bad rating do not understand this meaning of the story line. I hope I have given you a new perspective on this game.
