Ridiculous action sequences without the tongue in cheek charm of the Fast movie series just makes this insulting to your intellect. I know this was released before A.I. came into play heavily but you'd swear the dialogue was written by a computer program that was told to write how government officials, and "movie bad guys" would speak and seeing Vin Diesel try not act like...Vin Diesel by just smiling more is funny though.

There was a time when movies were looked at as escapism. Where we could close out the worries and problems of the day and get immersed in a good story with good characters. That time is mostly done but sometimes established and talented directors can deliver a film with those elements without any of the identity politics that is crammed into most of films yoday. Great acting talent delivered a crisp story and great directing kept a good pace.

Takes all involved out of the coldness of being news items and humanizes them which only makes the story harder to comprehend. Looking at those babies knowing they were murdered was very emotional. I don't know how people like Chris come to be. The detached coldness he displayed was chilling.
