Yes, there's lots of politics in this game. Yes it is too much in a single game. The statistics just don't add up. Then again, we are talking about a game which includes mushroom-zombies. So I don't see how anyone could complain about it being unrealistic 😉
And once you stop focusing on the politics and start enjoying the gameplay, it's a fantastic game.
It's probably the best looking game on PS4 and the level design IS amazing. At least from the second half onwards.
The first half dragged way too long and there was no variety. I don't know why naughty dog opted for this approach as they CLEARLY can do better.
If you're able to keep an open mind and / or to ignore certain bits of the story, you'll get one of the best experiences that generation had to offer.

Killing Joe made absolute sense. It's also more than realistic. Someone strolling through the first game, killing hundreds of other humans... Well, that certainly gives you some enemies that might want to avenge a loved one you killed.
It adds up. It makes sense.
I also liked Joe. And I'm sad about his death. But sometimes it's not about what you want but about a good story and not the same old stuff for the tenth time.
