Proper cinema- thrilling, interesting, beautifully and intensely acted by growing star Morfydd Clark and legend Jennifer Ehle. Rose Glass wrote and directed- a huge accomplishment. CLASS.

Sublime cinematography and superb performances from a classy cast make this a unique experience. Essie Davis really is fabulous but the two Ned Kellys, young Ned as played by Orlando Schwerdt and then as a young man George MacKay, are MAGNIFICENT. If you like Transformers-type guff, you might not like this.

Well I have watched The Current War twice in 24 hours, so I really like it. A superb highlight is the soundtrack and of course the elite acting of Cumberbatch and Shannon. Michael Shannon's whiskers deserve an Oscar! Proper chops!
