If you are gonna spend hundreds of millions to adapt a 14 book series why spend your limited run time making up characters and plotlines while destroying the actual characters and plotlines? Just more evidence of Hollywood nepotism and lack of talent in the writers room. They show destroys the lore of the series it's based on and can't even stay consistent to its own spoken rules.
