I'm interested as to why everything just seems wrong to me. I've found recently that I'll watch the newest instillation of the Star Wars franchise and every single time I'm disappointed.
Why did the opening scene on the ship immediately remind me of Darth Vader boarding Leia's ship in A New Hope? Why did the scene where Shin retrieves her probe droid and turns to go to her ship look so similar to one of Darth Maul's desert scenes in The Phantom Menace? I think there's nothing wrong with taking creative ideas from other sources. However, to just copy and paste?
I found the mannerisms used when Ahsoka and Sabine were fighting to be childish and unnecessary.
"I just blocked an attack, let me turn my head like I'm confused."
"I just childishly swung this lightsaber that seems too heavy although they don't have weight and it bounced off, let me turn my head like I'm confused."
"Ooooh there's a bunch of enemies, I'm gonna smirk the entire fight."
Oh, and let's not forget that our beloved Master Qui-Gon is once again disrespect by someone who's been stabbed in the stomach and survived. I mean come on.
I want Star Wars to thrive. I was so excited to watch this show. Now I already feel as though with as bad of a start as episode one and two, there's no redemption for this series.
