Spare is a masterful piece of literature - very well written!! It shares delightful and painful details of growing up in an environment that most of us will never experience. Political views put aside, I couldn’t help but love the young man in this story as he so vividly shared the joys and pains of his development. I felt as though I was developing a personal relationship with a remarkable person and all of his friends and family. Highly recommend this book without political views.
