Did they forget to add the game to this game?
I grew up with pokemon like many other people. I played until Diamond/Pearl before I stopped. I thought I would come back to a huge vibrant world with a lot to do since the Switch is so powerful, boy was I wrong. There is more game to Red/Blue than there is in this game.
My pokemon auto level because of a forced Exp. Share - so no need to grind levels I just went gym to gym like it was nothing.
Pokemon are easy to come by early; no cool Pokémon locked behind zones I have to progress through; you just get them whenever. (Except legendaries ofc)
The game play removes all secondary stories (like the "team rockets") and just forces you to rush gyms. Basically it's; rival battle, gym, rival battle, gym etc etc etc
There is little to no exploration; you beat a gym and follow one path to the next one. I use to get lost in caves for hours and there were puzzles to solve; that's all gone now. The one open area is just a pointless vast open area with pokemon in it with nothing else to do.
What is the point of giant pokemon? It adds nothing fun...
They removed half the pokemon; I mean common, the game is called Pokemon, I play for the pokemon and then you remove over half of them?
I'm sorry to say but this "game" just isn't fun. The Switch should have brought around the greatest pokemon adventure of all time, instead we get this rushed empty shell of a game.
