Disappointing. The largest flaw of this movie was that it lacked originality. Every trope, theme, and plot point has been used, making it completely predictable. As soon as the next action began, I predicted how it would end. At one point I hoped they would kill off Adam Driver's character (despite his acting being the obvious strength of the movie) just to give the film some subversion or weight. The amount of disbelief you have to suspend to watch this movie leaves you without any connection to the characters safety, as you know they are fully decked out in plot armor.

This movie is beautiful and heart wrenching. The cinematography is great, there is well thought out camera work and dynamics. And brilliant acting. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the mood for a slower paced dark emotional movie. Not for everyone but it is really good.
