Mazzy Ward

This movie was just such a pleasure on par with WALL•E in my eye. This movie amplifies the three books and the books amplified the movie as well. I read all three when the movie was announced and while they don’t include everything in the book and add new things at no point was this an issue. The movie is really funny and emotional a hard thing to pull off especially for dreamworks. Would highly recommend

*Spoilers ahead* I watched this with my dad and my god there was more flat lines of excitement than a busy hospital. What I mean is there are many scenes where the main character just talks, sits around, cuts himself open with razors, or figures out more about his situation. And it’s pretty damn boring. I am a big fan of sci-fi movies but this one just felt alright. The nudity was very unneeded. You could have replaced all the bare bodies with metallic bone structure and just add some realistic parts like how Ava is just part realistic human features. But the fact most are just naked women is very cringe worthy. And then the ending. My god it sucked. Caleb got done dirty. I don't know how Ava just got on the helicopter. How she was able to fly all the way back to civilization without speaking with her robot voice. Or any of the other plot conveniences. the villain was very well made and I am glad he wasn’t a twist villain. Mainly because of the lack of villain esc characters in this movie. I also really like the nature shots. I am glad they utilized the amazing part of the world they got to use. Overall a sci-fi flick you watch once and then go write a review about it like I am doing right now.
