I was confused about the purpose of this "documentary". It was portrayed as a "wrongfully convicted" type of documentary. But they fully admit to committing the crime - armed robbery where apparently shots were fired. She took a deal for 12 years and served 3 and 1/2. Her husband turned down a plea and was sentenced to 60 years. Why didn't he take the plea? Never addressed. The focus should be more on how well their sons turned out despite not having a father around. The focus should have been on how they learned from their mistakes, etc. But it came off as "another story of another wrongful conviction". It wasn't. They admitted to the crime! There were BIG holes in the story - she calls his sentence "enslavement" and talks about how horrible prison was. Yeah it's horrible. Shots were fired in a bank you were attempting to rob! That's a major crime! Its not like they were caught with a single joint and got 60 years! Major felonies were committed! While I am glad he got resentenced and released and can get reunited with his family, they committed a crime and got the punishment their state imposes for said felony. There are way better stories out there to spend 90 minutes watching.
