Although it contains many top-rated actors, the satire and acting felt forced, or maybe there was simply no chemistry between Lawrence and DiCaprio. The story started off as if it were trying too hard to be funny with not-funny dad jokes we've heard a hundred times. We don't find out much about Jennifer's character, her background, motivation and decisions or emotional outbursts she takes on. Her crying scenes were cringe-worthy, but it was unclear if that was the intention... Either this film was poorly directed or this is the true level of acting ability without the smoke and mirrors for Jennifer. About 3/4 of the way through, once the plot started moving, it became more interesting. In terms of entertaining, I am giving it a 2 out of 5. It's unbelievable to know how much the top-rated actors took home for this gig when it produced a dissapointing production. I really wanted to like it, but this is my honest review.
