What enticed me to watch the show was the California 80s background and the show never disappointed when it came to nailing down what the 1980s was really about, or the flavor of what happened.
The storylines were well written, unpredictable, a little funny, and satisfying to want more. Now I kind of know what was important in that decade, identity searching a culture focused on recovering from the 70s and never quite finding it but getting lost trying. In the end, I think people did find something through failure, themselves so they could begin again.
I hope they make another season, but also feel very satisfied all the same.
