Tastes like:
JJ Abrams brainstorming on a piece of paper during the early creation of Lost and trying to figure out the character's timeline and how Dharma Initiative was going to fit in. He threw that paper in the trash and that piece of paper was recovered and made into this movie.
It is a slow movie. It has one of the best time travel effects and visualization you'll see. So there is that.
Kodi Smit-McPhee does a good job. It's just that the screenplay needed more. It needed to be combed through a few more times. Needed a bit more depth surrounding certain details in the movie.
