Beautifully created French movie by Celine Sciama. Like classic French movies, this one is minimalist, visual, and with limited dialogue that let's you feel each moment on the screen. And all the actors, even the two little girls, don't overact. Nelly and little Marion are not overly precocious, nor "gifted" in some typical Hollywood way. Rather, they're normal children, behaving in a natural way. Some aspects of this lovely story are left unexplained, as real life often is. I highly recommend Petit Maman.
