Metallica is the band that got me into not just metal but music in general. They were the first band I heard that didn't just sound cool, but I actually felt something from the music. That was about 25 years ago when I was 11. I learned to play guitar because of this band. They'll always have a place in my heart for the parts of life they helped me through. I've seen them live like 7 times. I liked some of the stuff on St. anger and I liked most of Death magnetic except the mixing was atrocious. I thought Hardwired was good and probably the best Metallica was going to do these days. I was wrong though 72 seasons is on another level. It has it's stand outs but not a bad song on it. Best performance by Hetfield since Garage Inc
