Its brilliance and importance is often overlooked by most "so-called" music critics. The majority however will say Kick played a major role in music world during the late 1980s. Four top ten hits, their first and only number one, this album is a must have for any music lover of the 1980s. A quarter of the album's songs spent a year straight on the Top 40 pop singles chart but, there are other songs such as Mystify, The Loved One and Kick that are just as awesome. One of the best albums from one of the best years in music.

Objectively, one of U2's best albums. Personally, it's my favorite. I appreciate the change in direction U2 took with this album and it pays off. The hits such as One and Mysterious Ways are absolute standouts. But the deep cuts such as So Cruel, Ultraviolet (Light My Way) and Zoo Station are just as good. If you're a U2 fan or not, listening to this album will not be a waste of your time. An absolute 90s classic.
