Must watch for all generations of Bengali. A tale of human aspiration to create something new. It made me cry (specially the song 'kon din asibe bondhu'), laugh and put a smile on my face as it ended. The set design and production quality were superb as well considering they'd to bring mid-19th century under budget constraints of bengali films. The chemistry between lead actors was nice to watch. Ujaan could have been a little better, he completely diluted the persona of Nabin chandra. Still overall it's a gem.

Well executed film with a story that needed to be told at 75th year of this independent nation. It shows how badly we're disconnected from the marginalised ones who might dare to leave living people to death only to feed their younger gen twice a day. This tells how indifferent we're to those who're battling the threats from intruding into the wildlife and their day to day struggles to evade death. At same time wildlife is also at risk frm our intrusion, how minor and insignificant we're as a living being wgenever we're in the wild without our technology and logistics and the same as of any wild animal. Although writing this review here doesn't change anything but it reflects my feelings over here as a general liberal audience free from all prejudice and caste discrimination that's covered a little as well here. Not suggested for those who love masala films with action and thrill or those habituated with fast paced dramas, protagonists do mostly well especially Pankaj ji. Vfx at par and cinematography was on different level. Only thing is that screenplay could have been better. Kk's last playback was soothing enough.

A film full of propagandas frm saffron sympathisers trying to create a negative image of Congress govt/liberals and spreading hatred against Kashmiri muslims using the unfortunate genocide of Kashmiri pundits in hands of insurgent grps I though they'll depict the facts and sufferings of Kashmiri pundits more but at the end it appeared they're more interested in defaming PM Rajiv Gandhi than anything else for such a tragedy
