Akin to no country for Old men this film has cat and mouse storytelling vibes with modernized western film themes. The antagonists in this story are portrayed from the perspective of having endearing justifications (played well by Chris Pine and Ben Foster) to their actions. The lawmen are funny and easy to root for (Jeff Bridges is a pleasure to watch).
The modern twist on this lawman vs outlaw dynamic is that the banks also have a role (though subtle) to play in this story. It's quite interesting when coming to an understanding of it all.
Cinematography 7/10
Acting 8/10
Story 9/10
Worth a watch if you like westerns or crime drama. It's good on closure too.
