You do not have to have an interest in space and astronautics to be caught up in the wonder of this incredibly well researched and masterful book. I thought my eyes were open as to the beauty and fragility of our precious planet - Samantha Harvey has opened them even wider and taken me on a journey I will never forget.

The film was a travesty. Jackson introduced events and characters that were not even in Tolkien’s book and ruined the story by padding it out to fill three movies. Special effects and CGI abound in all three films and are overdone.
