It's fine. Some interesting ideas that are sloppily executed. The pacing is often rushed and the characterization melodramatic without having really earned it, but the animation is stunning and the designs are charming if a bit too busy for my liking.
It's got more potential than it's living up to but the music is genuinely great. The story isnt anything new, it's like if The Good Place was created by a 2000s emo kid who spent too much time on deviantart but I mean that in the best way possible. It's not groundbreaking but it wears its inspirations on its sleeve and looks you in the eyes and dares you to cringe and there's an earnestness in that I can respect even if it's not always my cup of tea.
I think with some more time and a bit more courage and sincerity, the creator will find her own voice, but for now, it's just kind of a mesh of influences that don't always add up to be more than the sum of their parts. Worth checking out if you like animation, musicals, or are yourself a former 2000s emo kid. For everyone else, here's hoping it can evolve into something more compelling moving forward!
