Fast moving. Gets right to the plot. The characters are well written. It is full of symbolism, but it's very easy to read. I watched it 2 weeks after Elliot Page announced he was trans, so seeing him as "Ellen" as Talullah gave me a whole new respect for him as an actor. He is an amazing actor and I cannot wait to see him in films where he can finally be his true self. The supporting staff is stellar as well. Allison Janney ALWAYS gives a solid performance and is totally believable in every role she plays. Tammy Blanchard, as the drunken Carolyn will make you hate her one minute, but by the end you are crying as you see her heart break for a baby she knows she should love but she has zero maternal instinct. It's a must see.
