If I could give this no stars I would, because that is what it deserves! Pure TRASH!!! Like many here, Anne Rice’s trilogy of the Mayfair witches are my favorites of all her books, especially “The Witching Hour”. When I heard AMC was turning them into a mini series, I had high hopes but was also skeptical they could do it justice. Unfortunately, I was right. Aside from the characters names, I recognized nothing of Anne Rice’s beautifully told story of Rowan Mayfair, Lasher and the long line of witches that preceded her. And for them to list Anne Rice as Executive Producer in the credits; what a joke. The worst adaptation of any book I have ever seen. I am sure Anne is rolling over in her grave due to disappointment and disgust. AMC had more than 8 hours to tell this wonderful story and they squandered it on rewriting the entire story. Shame on you AMC. If you couldn’t do it right, you should have passed it on to someone who could. Glad I chose to binge watch it during a free trial of AMC because it wasn’t worth a dime!
