Each story leaves you hanging high and dry, take for instance stories like From Dubai, the law is an ass etc leaving a bad taste on your taste bud. You can't seem to find the moral chord of the story and the writer just ends each story abruptly. A sharp distinction is that of Damilare Kuku's novel in nearly all the men in Lagos are mad, though each story ends abruptly it gives you the final satisfaction you are craving. I believe Niran should do better in future.

The plot was so incoherent and incohesive, many of the characters were not properly portrayed and many scenes and plot were left uncompleted or rather were unnecessary. I was eager to see the book end quickly as I was not to enthralled by the writing. Also many motives of the characters were not clearly understood. For instance why did Chamai transformed from a gentle boy to killing gay men who had not offended him for no reason?? Ruth's visit to the native doctor what was the outcome ? And many uncompleted plots. Was actually expecting better from Onyeka but who am I to judge ? I rest my case.
