My, how we have fallen. Is this what counts as good tv? It’s stereotypical, unrealistic in a way that contrasts with the tone that tries to make it look a half-serious spy story, women are depicted terribly (Debicki’s character is utterly stupid and pretty-face stereotypical). Poor Le Carré.

A nice attempt, but it ends up being a stiff, unrealistic way to depict how two people would talk to each other, especially during the live events depicted.

Absolute abomination; a waste of talent and money. Slow, tedious, predictable. Eliciting disgust with gross images rather than thrill. The sexualization of the female characters is the clearest sign the re-write went wrong.

Well-intentioned, but the narrative arch is not well developed. The women do not look broken enough for what was being done to them, and too much time is spent on recollections of William. The final moments being to build up, but the tension about whispered consequences if he goes against the nuns is then not developed.

Omg what a drag. Nothing makes sense. Luke and Lorelei with the “getting married” again? And never talked about having kids? Jess still into Rory some 15 yrs later…? Don’t get me started on Paris and Tristan… ridiculous. If you’ve no ideas, please don’t write. One of the worst story telling even seen.

Season one is definitely enjoyable, non-credible moments are few and apart, and it touches on the issue of emotional and mental abuse. Season two is just a messy, nonsensical series. Real bummer.

It holds up overall, but it’s psychologically silly. The last episode seek the thriller-moments rather than flashing out the complexity of the revelation. They should have followed the book all the way through, which is much more compelling and believable.

Bad in a familiar way. Famous actors. No story line. Predictable story. Can’t believe that Clooney and Pitt end up in these productions, given the resources they have and the fact that they both can act if they want.

Well acted, but rather repetitive. Every episode has them almost breaking up, then they don’t… pretty predictable. But at least it has a nice script for conversations.

A missed opportunity. Entertaining, but with a story that involves one of the first female Police officers ever and the talent of the cast, they could have produced a more reflective movie on the struggles women had to face at the time. the gimmicks get tiring soon.
