Absolutely confused about the raging reviews for this movie. Such an important topic, and it completely misses the mark on many, many levels. Eva Victor should not have started by writing, direct, and starring in a movie - get some help on some fronts.
1. The staging is ridiculous: clearly none of the people involved have any idea what academic environments are like.
2. It's unclear what should make of the protagonist - there is no background to explain her character, and it's not someone one empathizes with at any point in the movie.
3. The dialogues are terrible. Most of them consist of incomplete or monosyllabic exchanges.
4. The movie tries to make a point about how a male doctor may treat sexual abuse like business, and the legal implications of going after someone who is no longer employed - but the scenes end up making a mockery of these topics.
On top of this, it's slow, many still scenes, and with no gravitas.
