This review is based on both the 2 parts of Alchemy of Souls Though I am not really a fantasy- lover, I really enjoyed and ended up binge- watching it The characters r nearly perfect conveying the intricate emotions beautifully. All the lead actors have done justice to their roles. It makes the audience to sit at the edge of their seats throughout part-1. Jang-uk and Mu-deok scenes was an emotional rollercoaster. PART -2 Initially, I was shocked and lil disappointed due to a charcter change in season 2 (won't tell it , see and find it out) And there were parts where the series lost its seriousness and it became monotonous in jokes. However, it geared up in the last few episodes. One things that was odd is Why on earth is there an English song in a historical fantasy series??

According to me, it is one of the best historical Korean drama. I started watching this drama bcoz of park seo joon and hyun shik. Later I realized that all the characters played a vitol role in the series. I could really see the effort taken by the cast and crew. I also loved some supporting characters like pa- oh, ban ryu etc. It was a simple but had a different story from all the dramas I had watched before. The humor in the series was fun to watch. The first 10 episodes went on a slow pace but after which it takes a speed turn. The visuals in the entire series was appealing and stunning. Especially the sword scenes. However, the series has some minor flaws. I felt the charcter of go ara was bit irritating and she always put the lead characters in dangers. In a nutshell, this is one of the entertaining series and u will not regret after watching it.

Mind blowing series. This is the best of all historical dramas, I have watched so far. The story revolves around the establishment of Joseon dynasty. Though 50 episodes might sound a lot, it is worth watching. It clearly depicts the desire for power changes the person to a heartless one. In this series, no one is completely evil or good. It has a high scope for character ananlysation and each characters actions are justifiable. I wonder how they took this visually appealing scenes within 195 crores. Apart from the 6 flying dragons , I fell in love with Lee bang gan,Yeon hee,Moo hyul grandma and ofc Gil Tae Mi. The fighting and the sword scenes are extraordinary. According to me, it has no loop holes or flaws. So go for it and it will be a treat for k drama fans.

After watching hwarang, I wanted to try other series of park- hyun -Sik That is when I came across SUITS. It is a well entertaining drama which makes us to sit on the edge of our seats. It has lot of twists and turns and the suspense is carried well throughout the series. When the lead characters went through hardships, it makes the viewers to cry/ feel pity for them. The emotions were portrayed well by all the characters. I really liked the parts of Attorney Chae who was the only character having scope for fun and humor. Usually, in many Korean series, women characters are portrayed as naive, stupid etc. But Suits has many bold, brave, independent women which inspires us. Overall, if u like park hyung Sik or law related dramas, it would be a treat for u.
