I’m not sure how this received 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I found this movie to have a lot of potential but ended up being a real dud. I could tell when I started watching that it was no masterpiece, but the first half was actually pretty funny. The latter half that takes place in the woods, not so much. It was not scary in any way, and the ending just, well, ended with no closure and any attempt at ambiguity was a total failure. This movie was a total dud. The screenwriter should just stop writing.

I don’t know how anyone could in all honesty give this movie anything more than 2 stars, and that’s being generous. Poorly acted with a pointless plot that unfortunately repeats itself. Save yourself an hour and a half.

I made it about 30 minutes into this movie before I had to turn it off. The dialogue is abysmal. The actor who plays the bartender in the opening scene overacts and is completely annoying.

I wish more people appreciated Adam Sandler in dramatic roles. I was entertained from start to finish with this space fantasy movie. It was sweet and thought provoking. I loved it from start to finish and appreciate its originality. Highly recommend to anyone looking to escape for an hour and a half into a really great love story.

This movie is insufferable, as are most of the characters. If you’re looking for a film that reminds you of your own annoying family at Thanksgiving, then this is it. Hard pass.

Danielle Macdonald and Diane Lane are both wonderful in other films/TV series I have seen but absolutely horrible in this film. Over acted caricatures of the parts they both play. The story is disjointed. The police work improbable. The director abysmal. Elizabeth Banks’ hair atrocious. Hard pass.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a terrible choice to play the antagonist. He’s a TV actor at best and unconvincing for the atrocities he places upon and entire town and beyond. He’s not in the upper echelon of company he keeps in this film, nor up to par with the director and screenplay. Mads so easily embodies the role and makes JDM stick out like a sore thumb. This film is filmed beautifully, but JDM doesn’t come across in any way as the ‘bad guy’ in the least.

This movie has not aged well. Toxic masculinity, degradation to women and homophobia are supposed to be funny? Pass.

It’s a great show, but it really takes off in the fourth episode. The characters show a lot more depth which leads to better writing that lands. Funny. Heartfelt. Relatable. A great show.

I grew up watching the original and had high hopes for the reboot. That 70’s Show seemed to balance corny sitcom humor with an air of edginess. That 90’s Show is just corny and lacks the acerbic wit that made the original so relatable.
