Just like some other people. I have never wrote a review on a movie before, but this one is needed. I never been so disappointed :/ No, I have not read the book, but I was not expecting a musical. This Hunger Games was like a joke. Rachel Zegler (Lucy Gray) did not deliver like she should have. The connection with her and “Snow” was weird from the jump. He just met the girl and is head over heels in love with her and holding her hand. Her acting was bad and there was a lot of cringe moments. I don’t know if it was the singing or just her that made it cringe. I couldn’t connect with her character at all. Also, the accent could’ve been a little better. Honestly they should’ve casted some one else. Jurnee Smollet would’ve been great as “Lucy” in my opinion. Overall, it was all over the place and most definitely rushed. The tiny arena were they held “The Hunger Games” was randomly bombed and they still went on. Seemed like nothing was guarded through out the movie. Snow was able to easily access almost everything. The fact that they sent Snow in the arena to get his friend was weird to me. Like….. how’d he even get in there? I could go on an on. Don’t even get me started on the end. Overall not the best.
