Movie started with very loud Jamaican music which became an important part of the movie later on. Husband murdered, wife accused and visually impaired son is caught in the middle as to who should he believe. Half the movie is spoken English and half (the trial) is in French with English subtitles. Solid thriller that both my husband and I enjoyed. Spoiler Alert: We think the wife murdered him.

The premise of the movie was good but……. Too slow moving and boring spots. I looked at my watch many times.

I love Adam Driver as an actor! He was the only reason I decided to watch it on Amazon Prime. Other than the opening musical number, the first hour was boring, confusing and downright stupid! However, I’m glad I stuck with it as the 2nd hour and ending were awesome! The transition of Annette and the talent of the little girl who portrayed her, was absolutely mesmerizing!

The manipulation that Angela exerts over Ted, the professor of her writing class, is so blatant and obvious that I wanted to stop watching completely, but like a car wreck, I just couldn’t look away! All in all, an average movie with an expected ending.
