I wish this show could be described with a single tone but I can't. The show is very entertaining and has an interesting take on Van Helsing saga set in modern post apolocalyptic era. There are many good things about this show such as the pace of the show as well as some of the sequences. I absolutely loved Sam as the vampire, if anyone from DC Warner Bros reads this, please see his scene with Vanessa in the high school in S2 E5. He reminds of DC favourite villain. Just like there are many things good about this show, there are some other things too which are pretty annoying. That's an understatement. They are very annoying. The characters are all very weakly built and I do not find any of them to be well built. From the cowardly doc to the no backstory Sam. Vanessa who changes with the wind and the dialogues are horrific. I mean, it looks like it was all just done up hoping the overall plot and pure fan affliction towards vampires would carry this series. So much so I think that the dialogues are written by a non existent fool with very limited vocabulary. I mean "whatever". Yet like I said this show has many good things, my favourite being the background score. The music really sets the stage for this show and some of the performances like Sam make it better but there is a lot to improve on and hopefully we will see those improvements in the coming seasons. P.S. please get better writers for dialogue.
