When I was a kid I loved this movie, but now that I’m older, it doesn’t really hold up, for a couple of reasons: First of all, the Oompa Loompas looked weird; orange skin and green hair. Second, they sang the same song for every kid. And third, it ended nowhere. It literally ended with Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, and Willy Wonka in the Wonkavator. I’m not saying that this is a horrible movie; I just think that it’s not as good as I thought it was. But there are a couple of good aspects that want to mention: it’s colorful, and Gene Wilder stole the show.

Now that I have seen the whole movie, I decided to make a review about it. The Godfather is one of the best movies ever made in cinematic history. It’s a phenomenal movie. The performances, from Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, and James Caan. The music is beautiful. When Michael Corleone introduced his brother Tom Hagen, I was confused; I was thinking, “If he’s his brother then why don’t they have the same last name?” I then realized that he is adopted. I heard Michael say that. When Don Vito Corleone got shot, I thought he was going to die, but thankfully he survived. Eventually he died from a heart attack. I felt bad for his family. There were a couple of scenes that made my jaw drop. Like the scene where that man wakes up and sees blood on his whole bed. Or the scene where that woman who died because the car blew up with her still in it. But overall The Godfather is a masterpiece. Now I know why it’s so popular. Because it’s so well directed, well written, and well acted. It’s my new favorite movie of all time.

Okay, so I know this isn’t the popular opinion, but I’m going to say it: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is way better than the original. My reasons why are because it has a better soundtrack; the soundtrack in the original was great, but the Oompah Loompas looked creepy. And, they sang the same songs over and over again. Meanwhile, the Oompah Loompas in this movie looked way better, and they sang different songs for each child. I love that. I have to give them credit for that. This movie is way funnier than the original; it’s not like completely dark, despite being directed by Tim Burton.

This movie is amazing! It’s a lot better than I remember! There’s no way The Dark Knight Rises could have topped The Dark Knight, given the fact that The Dark Knight is a masterpiece, and it changed the superhero genre forever. What I love about this movie, is of course the story, the acting, the writing, and the music. But besides that, I love the villain, even the opening scene, the fight scenes between Batman and Bane, but I prefer the second fight, and I absolutely love the scene where Bruce Wayne was climbing out of the pit, with the chant, and last but not least, I love the ending. I love Tom Hardy as Bane, because he was a great villain, but he was a mediocre Bane. He was a great villain because he was menacing, terrifying, and manipulative. But he was a mediocre Bane, in my opinion because he didn’t look anything like Bane in the comics because he didn’t have the tube on his back filled with venom. They also changed his origin story. Bane in the comics was never a member of the League of Assassins. But in this movie he was a member of the League of Shadows, but he was excommunicated by Ra’s al Ghul, because Bane’s existence was a reminder of the hell Ra’s al Ghul left his wife to die in. The reason why I prefer the second fight scene between Batman and Bane is because when Batman was looking for Bane, and Bane was looking for Batman, and with the snow falling, it just looked and felt so epic. Fun fact: this is the only time in the entire Batman franchise where we see Batman in the daylight. Also when it was revealed that Marion Cotillard is actually Talia al Ghul, Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter, I was shocked, and when she stabbed Batman, I was like “Oh no! Why’d she do that?” Then she revealed herself as Talia. Oh yeah and after Batman got stabbed, I noticed nowadays that he lost the Batman voice, and he instead used his normal voice. The way this movie concludes was perfect; it was the most satisfying way to conclude the trilogy. Batman died, but Bruce is still alive and he’s happy and in a relationship with Selina Kyle. I’m glad that he’s with Selina. In other words, Alfred’s fantasy happens for real. Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character, John Blake, he was excellent, he’s one of the few good cops in Gotham. He also knows that Bruce is Batman. When I first saw this movie, when it’s revealed in the end that his legal first name is Robin, I was confused, but now that I’m older, I understand: The whole point is that it’s a throwback to Batman’s sidekick in the comics, Robin. Not the actual Robin character, because Christopher Nolan said, in a June 2005 interview, so after Batman Begins came out, he said, “Robin will never be in my Batman movies.” So basically, his full name is Robin John Blake. But I hate that we never knew who he’s going to become. Meaning nobody knows his future. In the end I will say that The Dark Knight Rises is epic. It’s one of the best Batman movies ever made, it’s also a satisfying conclusion to an incredible trilogy, definitely the best superhero trilogy ever made. The Dark Knight Trilogy is one of the best movie trilogies we have. The Dark Knight Rises is by far the best movie of 2012.

This movie was phenomenal!!! They brought back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, and they got the finales they deserved. Not only did they bring them back, but they also brought back Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina and Thomas Haden Church as Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Sandman respectively. Thank God they didn’t bring Topher Grace as Venom. They even brought back the Lizard and Electro. After Quentin Beck aka Mysterio, revealed to the world that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Peter, Michelle “MJ” Jones, Ned Leeds, and Aunt May are all being investigated by police and the FBI. Thus Peter’s whole life is ruined. So he decided to go to Doctor Strange and ask him what to do, and he said that there is a spell that can reverse it; meaning there’s a spell that will make everyone forget Spider-Man’s identity. While the first 2 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies were coming of age stories, this is the one where Peter’s life was changed to adulthood. Makes sense because he’s growing up. He’s not a kid anymore. I love how there were a lot of throwbacks to the original Spider-Man movies, like the scene where Green Goblin says, “You know, I am something of a scientist myself.” Or the scene where Doctor Octopus sees Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker, but then he’s like, “Peter?” Peter Two says “Otto?” He says “Peter! How are you?” He said, “Trying to do better.” Although, when Green Goblin killed Aunt May and her last words were, “Peter, remember: with great power there must also come great responsibility.” Then she lays her head down and dies. When I first saw the movie in theaters with my brother, and when she died, I cried a little bit. Also when Andrew Garfield came back, the audience cheered, and applauded, but then when Tobey Maguire came back, everyone cheered and applauded. When Peter Three jumped and saved MJ, once again the audience cheered him on because remember when he tried doing the same thing with Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but she died. However, when he succeeded in saving MJ, he redeemed himself. That’s why everyone cheered. Of course we have to mention that Dr. Strange made a new spell that made everyone forget who Peter Parker is, even Ned and MJ. That was sad, but it was for the best. I’m not saying that’s a good thing, just saying that it was necessary, because it was the only way to protect everyone. But don’t worry, Peter hugged Ned and MJ and said goodbye to both of them. Overall I love Spider-Man: No Way Home, because it was just everything Spider-Man 3 wasn’t. Spider-Man: No Way Home wasn’t just one of the best MCU movies ever made; it’s more than that. It’s one of the best superhero movies ever made, and it’s by far the best Spider-Man movie ever made.

I love this movie, because it’s the perfect origin story of Batman, a great Batman movie, and one of the best movies of the year 2005. I love how we finally get to see Bruce Wayne training as a ninja, and when he learns the League of Shadows’ true purpose, the complete destruction of Gotham City, Bruce rejects the League and returns to Gotham, choosing to fight crime without killing. I also love how we get to see Bruce design his Batsuit, gadgets, and the Tumbler, because we never got to see that until this movie came out. Christian Bale was the perfect Bruce Wayne/Batman, because he didn’t kill anyone. Batman not killing anyone is what makes him so compelling; if he kills criminals, he is no better than them. Michael Caine was perfect as Alfred. He was the comic relief in these movies. He was, still is and always will be the best Alfred ever. Liam Neeson as Ra’s al Ghul was perfect, because he was a great villain, and he was the perfect Ra’s al Ghul, because he basically wants to destroy Gotham. I love how at Bruce’s birthday party, Ra’s was wearing all black. He was wearing a black suit with a black shirt, a black tie, and black dress shoes. That was the whole point, to show the audience that this was Liam Neeson’s first villain role. I have to admit that he nailed it. Gary Oldman as James Gordon was perfect, because he was basically Batman’s partner. He also actually has respect for Batman. Not to mention he’s one of the few good police officers in Gotham. Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox was perfect, because he was basically Bruce’s armorer for the Batsuit. I love the scene where he tells Earle, “Didn’t you get the memo?” That was a great scene. I also love how Fox was the one who helped Thomas Wayne build his train. That’s how they met. Not only did they work together, but they were also friends. Cillian Murphy as Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow was also perfect, because he was scary. Like the scene where he poisoned Batman, and Batman was hallucinating his parents’ death, and bats. This movie has a lot of funny moments, like the scene where Bruce says, “Bats are nocturnal.” Or the scene where that cop says, “At least tell me what it looks like.” The Tumbler goes by. He says, “Never mind.” Overall, Batman Begins is great. It’s definitely a classic of the Superhero genre. Definitely a must watch.

I was obsessed with Batman Forever as a kid; I had it on VHS, and I remember watching it every single day, but multiple times a day. Why? It’s because this was the first Batman movie I watched as a kid. But now that I’m older and when I rewatch this movie, I realize that it’s a weird movie; now I’m not saying it’s a bad movie. It’s a good movie but it has a lot of flaws. The good things are the action sequences, the soundtrack, and, in my opinion, Val Kilmer’s performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I always thought that his performance was very underrated. He was a good Bruce Wayne, but he wasn’t a great Batman. He wasn’t horrible either; I think he was a mediocre Batman. He was a good Bruce Wayne because he had an arc. This was the first live action Batman movie that attempted to give Bruce an arc, and I think they did a decent job. I love the action sequences because of the fighting choreography. My favorite fight scene in the movie is when Dick Grayson was fighting those gangsters, because he beat them all by himself, including the leader. I love the soundtrack, because it gives me great vibes and nostalgia. I love how they put Robin in the movie. But the actor, Chris O’Donnell was too old to play Robin; in the comics, he was a kid when he lost his parents. But in this movie he was in his early twenties. The bad things about Batman Forever are the villains, and the costumes. Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face, who was horrible. Two-Face is a very serious villain. But in this movie he’s over the top. He spends the entire movie jiggling, jumping, and cackling. His makeup looks like he got a rash. Jim Carrey as the Riddler, who was definitely over the top. Not only was his portrayal bad, but his costume looked terrible, because he was wearing from neck to toe green tights, with a bunch of black question marks, and not to mention his hair looked bizarre. Dr. Chase Meridian was annoying at first but then she grew up towards the end of the movie. Nowadays I don’t love Batman Forever, but I don’t hate it either; I like it. Now I only watch it every few months. It’s still a good movie that was a box office hit.

I love everything about The Dark Knight. The bank robbery scene, the acting, the writing, the fight scenes, and the music. The Dark Knight is a phenomenal movie because of the Batman and Joker. Batman, James Gordon, and Harvey Dent are basically a trifecta of good. Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker is incredible; he was a great villain, but he was also an amazing Joker. He was a great villain because of his motivation. He was the best Joker, because he was a lot darker and more sadistic than Jack Nicholson’s Joker. I love how his makeup looked; white face, long messy green hair, black eyelids, and a red smile. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, he was excellent. He was very underrated in my opinion. He was very serious, and I found it interesting that Harvey Dent went from really good to really bad. He was really good because he locked up half the mob; he was the hero of The Dark Knight. Not Batman, not Joker, Dent. But then he was really bad, because he was about to kill Gordon’s son. Killing mobsters is one thing, corrupt cops is another, but that’s a little kid, and that’s a whole new level of bad. The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie ever made, because it’s the most realistic superhero movie ever made. It’s a testament that not all superhero movies have to be in a universe, and unlike superhero movies nowadays, where they’re all linked, and there’s a lot of CGI. Not that that’s a bad thing, I’m just saying, that The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie ever made, and that no superhero movie will ever top it, or even come close to this movie. The Dark Knight’s status as the best superhero movie ever made is not just my opinion, it’s everyone’s opinion. The Dark Knight always has been and always will be a Masterpiece. My final grade: 10/10. The Dark Knight is one of those movies that I always have loved, and I always will love.

This movie was so bad; it was an abomination. It was poorly written, terribly acted, completely illogical, and over the top. Not to mention, it was a toy commercial, which means that the movie was made to sell toys. It’s true. George Clooney as Batman was terrible because he was just George Clooney in a rubber Batman outfit. He just comes in and says “Hi, Freeze. I’m Batman.” He’s the worst Batman actor. Even he admits that his performance as Batman was terrible. Chris O’ Donnell as Robin, I liked him in Batman Forever, because he was Dick Grayson, a guy who lost his family. Two-Face killed his family. He wanted to avenge his family by killing Two-Face, but Bruce Wayne told him that killing Two-Face won’t make the pain go away; it will only make it worse. By the end of the movie, he realizes that Bruce was right. That’s why I liked him in that movie, but in this movie, he was so annoying and whiny. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze was horrible, because he spent the entire movie making jokes about ice. Not to mention he hides in an abandoned ice cream factory. Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy was definitely over the top, but on purpose. Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl was also really bad. She wasn’t over the top, but she was still bad, because she’s not even Barbara Gordon like she is in the comics; instead she’s Barbara Wilson. She’s Alfred’s niece. That makes no sense whatsoever. Another reason why this movie is hated is because of the costumes. Batman and Robin’s costumes have nipples on them. Now they did have those in Batman Forever, but those were just circles. In this movie they decided to do the circles and then the nipples. There’s also a scene where Batman and Robin are bidding on Poison Ivy by saying huge amounts of money, but then Batman takes out a credit card from his utility belt. One last thing: this movie has absurd physics. Everyone looks like they’re on a harness with wires that propel them into the air. Well those are my thoughts on Batman & Robin, which is one of the worst superhero movies ever made, the worst Batman movie ever made, and one of the worst movies ever made. This movie killed the Batman franchise. Until, in 2005, Batman Begins was made, so I’m kind of glad Batman & Robin was made.

When I first saw this movie I loved it, I thought it was really cool. But as I got older I realized that it had a couple of flaws: like the fact that Batman killed his enemies. Or the fact that the Joker, or before he became the Joker, Jack Napier killed young Bruce Wayne’s parents, stuff like that. But I still like the movie. I love the soundtrack; Danny Elfman’s score is the only Batman theme there is. The decision to make the Joker kill Thomas and Martha Wayne was actually Tim Burton’s idea. That’s proof that Tim Burton doesn’t understand Batman. Then Batman killed the Joker. I’m not saying that Batman (1989) is a bad movie. The movie is and always will be a classic that reinvented the superhero genre. This movie is one of the best superhero movies ever made, because it was the first time they took Batman seriously, but it’s kind of a bad representation of Batman. Batman (1989) is a good movie because of its tone, design, and soundtrack, but it’s a bad Batman movie because it doesn’t try to give Batman or Joker any character development. What I mean by that is, Bruce is just a rich guy who knows rich people, and a lot of people don’t know about his past. We don’t really find out why he decided to become Batman. The Joker was a narcissistic artist. Going back to Batman killing his enemies, that’s another reason why this movie is a bad representation of Batman. Batman no matter what the circumstances are should not kill anyone. If he kills criminals, then he is no better than them. What I mean by this movie is a bad Batman movie, is because it’s a bad representation of a character that has been around for 80+ years (because Batman made his first appearance in 1939). That’s one of the reasons why this movie doesn’t really hold up.
