This is a marked improvement from the original theatrical release. The biggest improvements are in the character development for Cyborg & Flash, and the reimagining of Steppenwolf. The opening also gives context as to what causes the mother boxes to all of the sudden awaken for steppenwolf/darksied to find them. It is a much better complete film. It does have issues with pacing as it moves slower than I would like. There are pieces that could have been left out and not altered the movie in the slightest. I think you could have gotten a 3:15 minute theatrical release much like Avengers Endgame and everyone would have been satisfied.
