I've got a LOT of seat-time in several forms of amateur motorsports over the past 15 years, and have been SIM racing for almost that exact same period of time. Not a single title has ever provided an experience as close to reality as that of Assetto Corsa. It's just downright amazing. I'm lucky enough that I pilot in RL a couple classic rear-engined Porsches which are extremely similar to models included in Assetto Corsa, and the "feel" in Assetto Corsa is absolutely spot-on. The weight of the wheel, the way I can tell how the chassis is rotating on throttle lift, it's all just absolutely perfect. It's simply head and shoulders above the rest, and this is coming 6 years after the release! AC remains the single most convincing racing sim I have on my PC. Here is hoping they move on from their newer title ACC and make a more fully-rounded product once again. Note that this is very much a racing SIM - it is NOT easy. You have to use real-world driving techniques, especially if you drive with real-world driving assists (my recommendation, as that way you are driving the car as closely as possible to the way it exists in the real world - although you can also turn them off as you get better with more powerful modern cars, as many professional drivers do in RL). If you want an easy driving game, this isn't for you, but there are a TON of other products that will meet your needs (Project Cars, etc.)
