This is a worthy film and tells a story not often told. The way it is told is a gruelling 2 hours worth. The trailer seems like it will have comic moments and tragic times that will have you crying. It has neither -- it just feels sad from beginning to end. It is almost an 'anti-film' as it doesn't have the journey an audience can go through with this family's struggle to succeed in America - I felt like an outsider - and maybe that was the film-maker's intention to have us feeling like a stranger in a strange land. But it just didn't get into those willing parts of me that wanted to feel for this family, cry with them, laugh with them, feel hopeful for them.
