SLS is an extraordinary film in terms of subject matter, acting and overall production. Elizabeth Taylor and Katherine Hepburn embrace their characters with sharp insights and skill. Montgomery Clift is sympathetic and understanding. The dialogue is ripe for hearing that stirs the imagination.
