An allegory of Shakespearean depth and insight, a nice fellow is deeply hurt by his long time frien who no longer wants to hang out with him. Why, the nice fellow wonders below his hurt ego? Because his friend has decided that his “dim” ramblings are no longer worth his time or energy, and , in truth, he prefers maintaining silence between them. To me, this movie lays bare the universal and sticky situation that just about everyone is bound to face during a lifetime, how to make personal requests in a clear and non-blaming way, and how to hear without taking things personally. When those motivations are missed, “bad things” cannot help but ensue. A morality play that reveals the consequences which are bound to occur when projection overrides reality. A must see!
