I took a break from gaming for about 2 years, and was able to get a beast of a rig to get back into it. After downloading World of Warcraft, a game I have many years on, I was pretty disappointed. I thought the excitement would be there again for an RPG (although MMO). Boy was I wrong. So I was fiending for an RPG. I was deciding between Avowed or the Oblivion re-make, and decided to go with Avowed. I'm super excited to report that it brought back my excitement into gaming. I was worried with no tradeskills, a not fully open world, and a more narrow scoped class/skill system that I would be disappointed. After playing literally most of the day today, I realized I am not missing any of that. The graphics are gorgeous, and I am unsure why people are complaining about the visual style. The story has been great so far, and has kept me intrigued. Exploring! I love exploring every little nook and cranny, which you are often rewarded for taking the time to do so. What a game so far, highly recommend for those looking for something new.
