I had never heard of Frances Perkins & had no idea of her achievements as a woman in an era that believed women should stay at home & raise their children. I think the author captured her wonderful times but also gives us what she had to preserver to achieve her 12 years as Secretary of Labor in FDR ‘ s presidency . It was a true eye opener for me!
