I liked the movie especially the naval battle scenes but the movie has some mistakes. - Firstly, I think it would have been good to show Chen Lin from the start where he didn't meet Yi Sun Shin yet. That would've expanded his charater arc at the end of the movie. -Secondly, they should've focused Yi's death instead of keep showing the battle. -Thirdly, only one of Yi's last words show his concern for the people and not revenge. I think his nightmare could be better if it showed what the Japanese forces did the Koreans and Yi's son would've been a part of it. In my opinion, Hansan was better as there was more non-battle time to focus on the characters.

It's a good series to watch at first but it goes offtopic so much that the Korean viewers started to call it Korea palace war lol. And the last episode about the battle of Kuju was supposed to be a finale with a 30 to 40 min battle scene but we just got around 20 minutes. It is about 20 minutes when including the first 9 minutes of the first episode. I recommend watching til ep.16 since that's where all the good stuff is.
