Bla bla bla are the reviews you'll read from other fans of this film, that are recaptured by their youth and the "wonderful performances " etc etc.... but actually, if your looking for a fun film to watch on a Friday night with your 4 and 6 year old who aren't looking for any depth or meaning beyond immediate fun, laughs and something to capture them in the moment!!! Then IF isn't for them or you! Go and relive your childhood in your own time and rent something that will entertain them. Having said that, If I were to watch this film on my own... I'd still be pretty bored. And don't get me wrong the cast and the fact John Kranski wrote and directed this film led me to quite a hype! It just didn't deliver. At all.

I imagine it would have been a fantastic book! My 3 & 5 year old were very engaged with the movie. They found the concepts enjoyable. Thankfully they weren't critical of the script or acting! But it was as has been stated a fun FAMILY movie. Clean and innocent without any political agenda or unneccesary confusing ideas for children to grasp.
