I've watched this film multiple times after watching it the first time, and never without tears in my eyes the whole way through. It must have been well directed because the acting and cinematography were so brilliant. The story is so real, heartbreaking and relatable that I would pity any person who watched this and felt nothing. I've paid actual money several times to hire this film on different services, and stab myself in the heart every time, and didn't regret it once. It's not an old film, but definitely one of my all time favourites, and worth far more than the box of tissues will in the end.

This is one of the most beautifully tragic and real films I may have ever seen. I've always liked Jesse Eisenberg as an actor, but as a writer and director as well, just WOW. The story is as beautiful as it painful, the characters are perfectly sculpted and portrayed and the story is wonderfully haunting and sad and possibly way too real. I definitely recommend this to everyone, but be ready to feel a whole lot. If you're not in the headspace watch something light and come back to this one, but definitely watch it.

I can't work out why this film was critically panned. The real life mirror of the comic book Joker's insanity, a product of an uncaring and brutal world was developed further in this movie. The cinematography was fantastic, the cast was stellar and the clever use of lighting was jaw dropping. If this story isn't finished because of blind idiots I'll be more than slightly annoyed.

One of my three favourite action flix alongside American Ultra and Nobody. Love the stylised comic book action and the tounge in cheek irony. The cast is fantastic as well.10 outa 10.
